For the company's fifth anniversary limited miniature, Dark Sword immortalized renowned painter Marike Reimer as the Mistress of the Bugs (her entomological enthusiasms are well known). In 2010 Jim Ludwig asked if I'd be interested in designing the next 'tribute' mini. It was not a hard decision to make, especially when he mentioned that Tom Meier might be able to do the sculpt.

The mini reflects my love of Victorian-gothic-steampunk costuming (and yes, the full-size costume is in the works for a future convention). Small Jen's Aetherial Inversion Ray--better known as a plasma pistol--is powered by a boiler fashionably incorporated into a bustle. She stands in a smoggy, grimy alternative London, near a bill advertising airship excursions.

The display base is built of plain and embossed plasticard and mounted on a small resin plinth from Dragonforge.
