GENCON CLASS INFO
I've had some questions about what is actually needed and what's supplied in my workshops at GenCon, so here's a little more information.
It's not at all necessary to paint in the classes. About half of attendees prefer to watch and listen, and about half want to try out a color or effect or technique on the spot. Provided will be the bare minimum for practice: a primed miniature for each participant, foam plate 'palette', water cup, paper towels, medium-quality Taklon brushes, random selection of paint (Reaper and Vallejo, I believe).
Feel free to bring your own mini, as well as any specific paints you are using. If you want to work in class, I do recommend bringing your own brushes--at least one good quality detail brush. (And don't count on being able to find one in the Dealer's Hall.) The Miniature Events supplies are limited to the donations of sponsors, and Winsor & Newton doesn't give out free Kolinskys, no matter how nicely we ask...
If you'd like feedback and suggestions on your work, please bring a mini or two that show your current skill level. I'm happy to give critiques at the end of class or during my demo times.
